Every day at 9 a.m., we observe a minute of silence in memory of the heroes who gave their lives for our country in the fight against Russian aggression.<\/p>\n

Today, Lviv region says goodbye to eight heroes who gave their lives defending our country from Russian aggression:<\/p>\n

Yuriy Prus<\/h3>\n

Yuriy Prus, a 21-year-old soldier from Novoyavorivsk<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A 21-year-old soldier, a native of Novoyavorivsk. He spent his childhood in the village of Sopit, Yavoriv community. In August 2024, he voluntarily joined the army. He served as a reconnaissance medic in the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Galician Army. He was killed on 16 January.<\/p>\n

Ruslan Grigoriev<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ruslan Grigoriev<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A 23-year-old defender from the city of Pokrov, Dnipro region, who lived in the village of Godovytsia, Sokilnytsia community. He joined the Armed Forces in November 2021. He performed combat missions in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, for which he received numerous awards. On 30 July 2023, near Kordiumivka, Bakhmut district, he was seriously injured. After prolonged treatment, he died on 13 January.<\/p>\n

Andriy Pavlyk, 28-year-old native of Turka<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A 28-year-old native of Turka, Sambir district. He was an inspector of a platoon of the special police department of the assault regiment ‘Safari’ of the ‘Luty’ brigade. He died on 13 January near Toretsk, Bakhmut district.<\/p>\n

33-year-old senior police lieutenant from the village of Zymna Voda. He lived in Kamianka-Buzka. He served in the “Safari” regiment of the “Rage” brigade. He died on 13 January as a result of shelling near Toretsk.<\/p>\n

Ihor Kamenev<\/h3>\n

Ihor Kamenev, 56, a native of Kharkiv region<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A 56-year-old defender from the village of Kryshtopivka, Kharkiv region. In 2022, after being forced to move to Lviv due to a full-scale invasion, he joined the 24th King Danylo Mechanised Brigade. He died on 1 April.<\/p>\n

Dmytro Zhebin<\/h3>\n

A 49-year-old native of Druzhkivka, Donetsk Oblast. After moving to the Lviv region in 2022, he voluntarily joined the 47th Mechanised Brigade “Magura”. He died on 25 May.<\/p>\n

A 32-year-old fighter from the village of Hayok, Kamianka-Buzka community. He served in the 24th Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo. He died on 23 April 2022 near Popasna, Luhansk region.<\/p>\n

Oleksandr Martyniuk<\/h3>\n

56-year-old resident of Radekhiv, Sheptytskyi district. He served in the 61st mechanised brigade of the military unit A3425. He was killed on 17 January.<\/p>\n
