According to the investigation, the suspect began construction without proper documentation on a land plot adjacent to the Opir River, lying in a protective coastal strip. The man built a wooden structure and stored construction materials there, which posed a potential threat of disrupting the natural flow of the river and polluting its waters. The waters of the Opir River are part of the Dniester basin, an international river crucial for the country’s ecosystem.<\/p>\n
Investigative actions were conducted by specialists from the Stryi District Police Department. Under Ukrainian law, a person is presumed innocent until a court decision is made.<\/p>\n
