In the city of Lviv, law enforcement officers arrested a 38-year-old local woman suspected of drug trafficking. The woman, who had a previous conviction, could face up to eight years in prison again for selling methadone.<\/p>\n
Criminal police officers, in cooperation with investigators, conducted thorough work that allowed them to establish that the offender sold methadone through direct transfers to drug addicts. During the search of her residential area, money, drugs, mobile phones, and other important evidences were found.<\/p>\n
The seized items were sent for detailed examination to the Lviv Research Forensic Science Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Based on the discovered facts of drug trafficking, the woman was arrested following the criminal procedure articles.<\/p>\n
The crime she is charged with entails serious punishment\u2014four to eight years of imprisonment for illegal trafficking of narcotics. Currently, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing, overseen by the Galician District Prosecutor’s Office.<\/p>\n
