As a result of a special operation in the Lviv region, law enforcement agencies have detained members of a criminal group involved in arms and ammunition trade. The detainees include two local residents from Radekhiv and one resident of the Rivne region.<\/p>\n
The criminals used social networks for advertising and selling weapons, later sending the goods through mail and receiving money into their bank accounts. The pre-trial investigation revealed that the group carried out more than ten operations selling weapons and ammunition. During the searches, a large amount of weapons was seized, including pistols, assault rifles, grenades, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Financial assets were also confiscated, including large sums of euros and dollars.<\/p>\n
The case has been referred to court with several charges under the Criminal Code of Ukraine, with a maximum possible penalty of up to eight years of imprisonment.<\/p>\n
