A tragedy occurred in Lviv that ended in the death of a five-year-old boy during dental treatment. The child was subjected to general anesthesia administered by an anesthesiologist who lacked the proper qualifications to work with children. During the procedure involving tooth extraction and caries treatment, a critical reduction in saturation level occurred, followed by respiratory and cardiac arrest. The boy was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he unfortunately died several weeks later.<\/p>\n
Investigators determined that the anesthesiologist had falsified documents that allowed her to perform medical procedures on children. The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office has informed the doctor of suspicions in committing several crimes, including document forgery and illegal medical practice. The doctor faces up to five years in prison for these offenses.<\/p>\n
