The offender illegally seized an apartment of 28 square meters in the Railway District of Lviv. In January 2023, he forged a sales contract, based on which an entry about the property right on this real estate object was made in the house register, and subsequently transferred it as a capital contribution to his company. A 54-year-old resident of Lviv was exposed by detectives of the Police Department No. 1 of Lviv District Police Management No. 2, under the procedural supervision of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office. In fact, the premises were municipally owned by the Lviv City Council and had never belonged to the accused. Thus, the Lviv territorial community suffered damages amounting to about one million hryvnias. The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceeding opened under Part 4 of Article 190 (Fraud), Parts 1 and 4 of Article 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps, and blanks, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) and Part 1 of Article 209 (Legalization (laundering) of property acquired through criminal means) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, has been completed.
