Sokal mourns the loss of another defender \u2013 Viktor Yuriyovych Kuchynskyi<\/strong> (born March 6, 1977).<\/p>\n He was born and lived in the city of Sokal, studied at the local gymnasium, and spent most of his life working abroad.<\/p>\n At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine<\/strong> in March 2022. He served as a grenadier in the 3rd mechanized unit of the 2nd mechanized platoon, 2nd mechanized company, 1st mechanized battalion of military unit A0536.<\/p>\n In September 2024, during battles in the Lyman sector of Donetsk Oblast<\/strong>, he sustained two severe injuries.<\/p>\n He is survived by his daughter Sofia and son Oleh<\/strong>. Mourning his loss are his mother Maria, sister Oksana, and nieces and nephews Anastasia, Iryna, and Yuriy.<\/p>\n Today, February 17, at 4:00 PM<\/strong>, a procession will bring the fallen Hero to the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, followed by a memorial service.
