It was established that during a conflict fueled by jealousy, the perpetrator brutally beat a friend, causing fatal injuries. The accused faces a penalty of up to fifteen years of imprisonment for the crime.<\/p>\n
On December 14, 2024, at around 2 a.m., the police received a report that the body of a man with signs of violent death was found in an apartment of a building on Hrinchenko Street in Drohobych.<\/p>\n
Operatives, investigators, and officers of other services of the Drohobych District Police Department and Lviv Regional Police were involved in solving the crime and searching for the perpetrator.<\/p>\n
As law enforcement officers established, that day two acquaintances, previously convicted, a 34-year-old resident of Truskavets and a 29-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia region, were visiting. During the consumption of alcoholic beverages, a conflict arose between them, during which the younger one brutally beat the older one, delivering numerous punches and kicks to the head, which led to his death.<\/p>\n
The police detained the perpetrator under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings opened under part 1 of Article 115 (Intentional Murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed. The article’s sanction provides for a penalty of seven to fifteen years of imprisonment.<\/p>\n
