As a result of the car collision in Brody, two drivers were injured \u2013 police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.<\/p>\n
The traffic accident occurred on February 27, around 12:30 PM, on Filyvarky Street in the city of Brody, Zolochiv District.<\/p>\n
According to preliminary findings by law enforcement, there was a collision between a Renault Twingo driven by a 50-year-old resident of Brody and a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 66-year-old local resident. Subsequently, the Volkswagen Golf was pushed into a parked Citroen Berlingo.<\/p>\n
As a result of the accident, the drivers of the Renault Twingo and Volkswagen Golf sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n
It was established that the driver of the Renault Twingo was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.<\/p>\n
On this basis, investigators of Police Department No.1 of the Zolochiv District Police Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286-1 (Violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by persons driving while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of three to five years.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement officers are determining the circumstances of the event.<\/p>\n
