The traffic accident occurred on March 3, around 15:20, on the ‘Sheptytskyi-Brody’ highway in the city of Radekhiv in the Sheptytskyi district.<\/p>\n
As preliminarily established by law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Peugeot 307 car, driven by a 36-year-old resident of Brody, and a DAF truck under the control of a 29-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi region.<\/p>\n
As a result of the injuries sustained in the accident, the car driver died at the scene, and his passengers, residents of Zolochiv district \u2013 men aged 23 and 35 years, sustained bodily injuries and were hospitalized.<\/p>\n
Based on the fact, investigators from the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Transport Sector of Lviv Police opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for punishment \u2013 imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years or without such.<\/p>\n
