In the evening of March 9, on Raiduzhna Street in the Sykhiv district of Lviv, there was a case of carbon monoxide poisoning. A girl born in 2019 was hospitalized in a moderate condition. This was reported by the Civil Protection Department of the Lviv City Council. Emergency service ‘104’ temporarily cut off the gas supply to the residence.<\/p>\n
This is already the 14th case of carbon monoxide poisoning in the city this year, affecting 30 people, including 13 children. Unfortunately, two have died.<\/p>\n
Experts emphasize the main causes of such incidents and the safety rules when using gas appliances. Symptoms of poisoning include headache, weakness, and drowsiness. In case of these symptoms, turn off all combustion devices and go outside for fresh air, and call for medical and emergency services.<\/p>\n
Remember the dangers of using gas: it can cause explosions, fires, and destruction. In case of an emergency, contact the emergency services: ambulance – 103, fire department – 101, gas service – 104, police – 102.<\/p>\n
