During the session, deputies supported the decision to allocate 421,200 UAH for the purchase of a school bus with specially equipped seats for children with special educational needs for Taras Horodetskyi Lyceum. This is 10% of the transport cost, with the remaining funds coming from the regional budget.<\/p>\n
The lyceum already has one bus and will now receive another, as government requirements state that school buses must be adapted for children with special educational needs.<\/p>\n
As explained by Natalia Kikh, a specialist in secondary education, the new bus will be equipped with seats for passengers with limited mobility and attendants, as well as spaces for wheelchairs. At the same time, the transport will be used for regular student transportation.<\/p>\n
Although the lyceum currently does not have children with limited mobility, there are students with special educational needs in the community who will study at this institution in the future. Therefore, the purchase of such a bus is an investment in accessibility and comfort for all schoolchildren in the community.<\/p>\n
