Yesterday, April 4, 2025, a requiem evening dedicated to the memory of fallen Heroes and youth whose lives were cut short by the war was held in the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul.<\/p>\n
Among the angels smiling from memorial banners is our Dmytro Pashchuk. Dmytro Pashchuk, a scout with the Plast organization, former soldier of the French Foreign Legion, and senior sailor of the 73rd Naval Special Operations Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, died on March 12, 2023, in the Kherson region while performing a combat mission.<\/p>\n
That evening, many people came to honor his memory, including Dmytro’s family and friends, comrades, students and teachers of his native Khivchany School, members of the Khivchany branch of Plast, and Oksana Bereza, head of the Belz community, who expressed support to the parents of ‘Harmash’ – Mr. Dmytro and Mrs. Oksana.<\/p>\n
This evening is about gratitude and memory, about the boundless world of each of those bright individuals who created the modern and free Ukraine. These are poignant memories of heroes who became a shield between us and the darkness. Those who departed into immortality with the name of Ukraine on their lips. We bow our heads, thank, and remember each one!<\/p>\n
