Prosecutors have completed an investigation regarding the embezzlement of funds during the repair of a stadium in Lviv.<\/p>\n
The prosecutors of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office of Lviv have concluded the pre-trial investigation and forwarded an indictment to the court concerning the director of a company. He is accused of embezzling budget funds by abusing his official position, in especially large amounts, and of official forgery (Part 5 of Article 191, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
The investigation found that the director of the contractor company embezzled budget funds during the capital repair of the floor covering of a stadium building tribune in Lviv. Previously, a contract for the execution of the specified works at the site was signed in 2023 between the state enterprise and the contractor.<\/p>\n
To implement the unlawful plan, the accused compiled and entered knowingly false information into the acceptance acts of the completed construction works. In particular, in the latter, he inflated the actual volumes of work and the cost of materials. Consequently, based on these documents, nearly 3.5 million UAH of budget funds were unjustifiably transferred to the business entity.<\/p>\n
As part of the criminal proceedings, a civil lawsuit has been filed against the entrepreneur for compensation for the damages caused. The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the investigators of Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region, with operational support by the Lviv region UAS of the National Police of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
