As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, a Renault Sandero driven by a 69-year-old Kyiv resident and a Ford Mondeo driven by a 66-year-old Lviv resident collided.<\/p>\n
As a result of the accident, the drivers of both vehicles and the passenger of the Renault Sandero, a 69-year-old Kyiv resident, were injured and taken to a medical facility. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, the woman died in hospital.<\/p>\n
Investigators of the Transport Crimes Investigation Department of the Lviv Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.<\/p>\n
