Police officers detained two individuals in Lviv on suspicion of drug distribution.<\/p>\n
It was established that the detainees were distributing illegal substances, including \u201ccannabis\u201d<\/strong>, by making \u201cstashes\u201d. For the crime committed, they face a penalty of imprisonment for up to eight years.<\/p>\n The suspects, a 23-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, residents of Lviv, were discovered by operatives of the Anti-Drug Crime Department of Lviv Police on May 29. The offenders were making \u201cstashes\u201d with the drug substance \u201ccannabis\u201d: the woman on Volodymyr Velykyy Street and the man on Stryiska Street. They were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.<\/p>\n The suspects had prepared \u201cstashes\u201d and zip bags with a plant-like substance resembling the narcotic drug \u201ccannabis\u201d with them. Additionally, the police found several \u201cstashes\u201d they had managed to make before being detained. The seized substances have been sent for examination to the Lviv Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.<\/p>\n The issue is being resolved regarding notifying the detainees, under the procedural guidance of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office, about the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, transfer, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
