Authorities aim to complete all work by the end of the month.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3377\" data-end=\"3465\">At a briefing, Pavlo Bohaichyk, head of the Lychakiv Cemetery utility, provided details:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3467\" data-end=\"3784\">&#x1f539; Over 160 individual graves have been exhumed<br data-start=\"3514\" data-end=\"3517\" \/>&#x1f539; The sandstone slabs from the entrance columns are being preserved<br data-start=\"3585\" data-end=\"3588\" \/>&#x1f539; Decorative metal garlands from the structure and fence will be transferred to the Museum \u201cTerritory of Terror\u201d<br data-start=\"3701\" data-end=\"3704\" \/>&#x1f539; The eternal flame installation will also become part of the museum collection<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3786\" data-end=\"4139\">All work is conducted with permits from the Ministry of Culture. Reburials are taking place at the Holoskivske Cemetery. The site contains more than <strong data-start=\"3935\" data-end=\"3960\">220 individual graves<\/strong>, four mass graves, and two high-profile burials believed to belong to NKVD agents <strong data-start=\"4043\" data-end=\"4063\">Mykola Kuznetsov<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"4068\" data-end=\"4084\">Stepan Putin<\/strong>, which will be handled last under a separate protocol.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4141\" data-end=\"4205\">&#x1f539; <strong data-start=\"4144\" data-end=\"4203\">Executive committee representative Yevhen Boiko stated:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"4206\" data-end=\"4382\">\n<p data-start=\"4208\" data-end=\"4382\">\u201cThis is the final stage of removing Soviet military symbols from Lviv. The Hill of Glory was the last remaining cemetery of its kind. The war has accelerated these changes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4384\" data-end=\"4666\">After exhumations, the city will carry out <strong data-start=\"4427\" data-end=\"4449\">geological testing<\/strong>. Preliminary findings revealed that many burials were just 30\u201340 cm deep \u2014 a violation of sanitary standards. This was likely due to the rocky terrain, which made digging to the proper depth of two meters unfeasible.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4668\" data-end=\"4837\">&#x1f539; <strong data-start=\"4671\" data-end=\"4694\">Future of the site:<\/strong><br data-start=\"4694\" data-end=\"4697\" \/>Once the reburials and geological surveys are complete, the city will consult with residents to determine how the land should be repurposed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4839\" data-end=\"5168\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><strong data-start=\"4839\" data-end=\"4859\">Historical note:<\/strong> Built between 1945 and the early 1950s, the Hill of Glory was a Soviet war memorial where Red Army soldiers, partisans, and NKVD officers were reburied.
