In Lviv, police have charged a man suspected of fraudulently obtaining funds from his ex-girlfriend.<\/p>\n
The 21-year-old resident of Odesa used his ex-girlfriend’s confidential information to illegally take out several loans from various financial institutions. The total amount of the loans exceeded 25,000 hryvnias, and he misappropriated the funds.<\/p>\n
Investigators from the Lviv District Police Department No.2, in collaboration with operatives from the Cybercrime Counteraction Department in Lviv region, uncovered the perpetrator. The prosecution was guided by the Frankiv District Prosecutor’s Office.<\/p>\n
He has been charged with committing crimes under part 4 of Article 190 (Fraud) and parts 1 and 2 of Article 361 (Unauthorized Interference with the Operation of Information Systems) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty he faces is imprisonment for up to eight years. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
