Prosecutors in Lviv region have reported a suspicion of embezzlement of budget funds.<\/p>\n
Under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the acting director of a state enterprise and a contractor were notified of suspicion. They are accused of embezzling budget funds and official document forgery. This is a violation of Articles 191 and 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
The investigation found that in 2022, the suspects misappropriated funds during the renovation of residential buildings at a sanatorium-resort center in the Lviv region. These premises were intended for the accommodation of internally displaced persons.<\/p>\n
To implement the scheme, the director approved a report on completed works and a certificate of their cost, which did not correspond to reality. \\”The documents exaggerated the scope and cost of these works,\\” investigators note.<\/p>\n
As a result, the business entity unjustifiably received almost 1.3 million UAH. Currently, the issue of choosing preventive measures for the suspects is being resolved. Investigative actions are ongoing, and the legality of using funds for the restoration of other objects is being verified.<\/p>\n
