In the Lviv region, 101 people have died in traffic incidents since the beginning of 2025.<\/p>\n
From January to June 2025, there have been 4,618 traffic accidents on the roads of Lviv and the surrounding region. Out of these, 971 incidents involved casualties, where 101 people died and 1,245 were injured. The main causes of these accidents were speeding violations<\/strong>, violations of pedestrian crossing rules at uncontrolled crossings<\/strong>, maneuvering violations<\/strong>, and failure to maintain a safe distance<\/strong>. Also playing a significant role is driving under the influence of alcohol.<\/p>\n Lviv police once again urge all road users to strictly adhere to safety regulations<\/em>. Pedestrians should be highly attentive, cross roads only at pedestrian crossings and on green signals, and use reflective elements during dark hours. Drivers must adhere to speed limits, avoid dangerous maneuvers, and be especially cautious near intersections and pedestrian crossings.
