The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office has notified a businesswoman of suspicion in timber smuggling and money laundering.<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, in January 2025 the businesswoman organized the illegal export of timber products to Poland. She used fake documents to obtain certificates of legal timber origin. As a result, nearly 18 cubic meters of hazelworth 300 thousand UAH were exported.<\/p>\n
The woman legalized the received funds by converting them into hryvnias and withdrawing cash. Part of the money was spent on paying for goods for business activities.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by detectives of the BEB in the Lviv region with the support of the SSU.<\/p>\n
