In the Lviv region, an official of a municipal enterprise is suspected of causing harm to the environment.<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, from March 2019 to August 2023, the acting director of the Drohobych municipal enterprise repeatedly allowed the disposal of waste on a plot of land not designated for this purpose. Its area is 2 hectares and has been allocated for the permanent use of the enterprise for the construction and maintenance of municipal service facilities. **The placement of solid household waste** on this territory is prohibited.<\/p>\n
Significant environmental damage was caused \u2014 the land was littered and polluted. The total damage is estimated at nearly 19 million UAH. The issue of choosing a preventive measure is currently being decided, and measures are being taken to compensate for the damages.<\/p>\n
