The Lviv regional team entered the top three in the medal standings of the Ukrainian Athletics Championship for the first time.<\/p>\n
The competition was held in Lviv at the \u201cSkif\u201d stadium from August 8 to 10, gathering 700 athletes from 24 regions and Kyiv. \u201cRepresentatives of the Lviv region won 12 medals. We have invested a lot in the athletics infrastructure: we restored the indoor athletic arena of the summer sports training base, built ‘upper fields’ and a warm-up area of the ‘Skif’ sports complex, and a few years earlier completed the reconstruction of the stadium’s athletics core, accrediting it with the second category. With infrastructure come opportunities for growth.
