Prosecutors of the Halytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv have forwarded a case to court against a 20-year-old resident of Dnipro.<\/p>\n
He is accused of theft and unauthorized interference with the operation of information networks. **The investigation established** that in April this year, the accused stole funds from the bank accounts of four victims. To achieve this, he obtained information about their card details, including security codes and PIN codes. This allowed him to link the cards to the *Google Pay* mobile app on his phone.<\/p>\n
Using the app, the man paid for goods in stores with the victims’ funds and withdrew cash. The total damage exceeds 150,000 UAH. Currently, the accused is in custody.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation is conducted by Lviv District Police Department No. 1, with operational support provided by the Cybercrime Counteraction Department in Lviv Region.<\/p>\n
