In Lviv, police have arrested a man suspected of robbing a local resident.<\/p>\n
On September 22, at around 4:00 PM, a 65-year-old resident of Lviv approached the police. He reported that on Patona Street, an unknown individual openly seized his mobile phone and fled. Police operatives, investigators, and other law enforcement services from the Lviv region were involved in the search for the perpetrator.<\/p>\n
Police identified the suspect’s location and arrested him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The detainee was identified as a 43-year-old resident of the Kyiv region. Investigators informed him of his suspicion of committing robbery, as provided by Part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article stipulates a penalty of imprisonment for a term of seven to ten years.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and the court will soon decide on a preventive measure. Law enforcement officials remind that during martial law, maximum penalties are prescribed for theft, robbery, assault, extortion, as well as appropriation, embezzlement, or possession of property through abuse of office.<\/p>\n
