A 41-year-old resident of Stryi is suspected of drug trafficking.<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, the woman was involved in selling buprenorphine and methadone in tablet form. She purchased tablets that contained prohibited substances and sold them to drug-dependent individuals in Stryi and the surrounding area. She sold the drugs at home for cash, having previously arranged transactions with clients over the phone, and regularly changed her mobile numbers for anonymity.<\/p>\n
She operated a special program for regular clients: the drugs could be taken on credit by leaving a passport as collateral. She returned the documents to their owners after the debt was repaid. Besides hand-to-hand sales, the woman also sent buprenorphine-containing tablets by mail to the Zbarazh Correctional Colony No. 63, but the prohibited substance was seized during an inspection by correctional facility staff.<\/p>\n
During searches at her residence, narcotic substances, tools for packaging them, cash, documents belonging to different individuals, bank cards, SIM cards of various mobile operators, and other evidence of illegal activities were found and seized. Under the procedural guidance of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office, she was notified of the suspicion of illegal acquisition, storage with the intent to sell, illegal sale of narcotic substances, and transfer of narcotic substances to places of imprisonment with the intent to sell (Part 2, Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
At the request of the prosecution, the accused was remanded in custody with the option of posting bail. Investigative actions continue, with several expert examinations appointed. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Stryi District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region, with operational support from members of the criminal police department of the Stryi RUP of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.<\/p>\n
