The Sokal community mourns the loss of another courageous defender who gave his life for Ukraine. On November 8, 2025, Ihor Oleksiiovych Kasian, a resident of Sokal born in 1972, was killed during a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia direction.<\/p>\n
Born on August 27, 1972, Ihor studied at Sokal Secondary School No. 3 and later attended the Sokal Vocational Lyceum. Throughout his life, he worked at the chemical fiber plant and later at a brick factory.<\/p>\n
In May 2024, despite his age, he joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces and served as an air defense gunner in the 2nd squad of the air defense missile platoon, part of the 2nd mechanized battalion of military unit A-7013. Ihor was killed during a combat operation on the frontlines in Zaporizhzhia.<\/p>\n
The Sokal community extends its heartfelt condolences to his wife Zoriana, son Volodymyr, mother Iryna, sister Yuliia, nieces Viktoriia and Solomiia, and the entire family of the fallen hero.<\/p>\n
Details about the arrival of Ihor Kasian\u2019s body and the funeral service will be announced separately.<\/p>\n
