A traffic accident occurred in the Lviv region, resulting in the injury of a pedestrian.<\/p>\n
On November 26, around 17:30, at Aviation Square in the city of Novy Kalyniv, Sambir district, the driver of a Renault Traffic minibus, a 47-year-old resident of Drohobych, hit a pedestrian. The victim was identified as a 37-year-old resident of one of the villages in the Sambir district. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized.<\/p>\n
Investigators from the Lviv region’s transport crime investigation department opened a criminal case under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article includes imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.<\/p>\n
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.<\/strong> In the Lviv region, a series of preventive measures are being implemented to control road safety. This is done to reduce the number of traffic accidents, their prevention, and warning.
