The tourist tax in the Lviv region reached record figures in November.<\/p>\n
The Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism reported that in November, the tourist tax amounted to 10 million 983 thousand UAH, the highest figure for a single month since the beginning of the year. The total collected amount in 2025 is 61 million 653 thousand UAH, which is 14.5 million UAH more than in 2024. The largest revenues were recorded in the Lviv, Truskavets, Skhidnytsia, Slavsko, and Yavoriv communities.<\/p>\n
\u201cRecord revenues in November are not only about an increase in the number of tourists but also about the effectiveness of the work of communities, businesses, and tourism operators. We see a systematic growth dynamic. It’s the result of consistent work on promotion, service improvement, and the development of the tourism product\u201d<\/em>, emphasized Roman Khimiak, Director of the Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration.<\/p>\n Occupancy rates in hospitality establishments in September: Lviv \u2014 61.4%, Carpathian region \u2014 41%, resort areas and sanatoriums \u2014 44%.<\/p>\n The most popular tourist locations in the Lviv region in November include: Tustan Reserve, Skole Beskids National Nature Park, Drohobychyna Museum, Drohobych Town Hall, Nahuievychi State Historical and Cultural Reserve, Historical and Local Lore Museum “Skolivshchyna”, Bear Sanctuary Domazhyr, Ancient Zvenyhorod Historical and Cultural Reserve, Hawk’s Nest, Yavoriv National Nature Park, Johann Zeg’s Pharmacy-Museum, and Boykivshchyna National Nature Park.<\/p>\n In November, events in the tourism sector, such as “Travel Therapy”, November journeys, and the training “Communication with Veterans and Cultural Sensitivity” took place. UNESCO heritage at hand: the Church of St. George in Drohobych was recreated in a tactile mini-sculpture.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is important that tourism in the Lviv region not only grows quantitatively but also becomes more qualitative, inclusive, and sensitive to the needs of different groups. Tourism is about sensations, emotions, and the memory we help to preserve\u201d<\/em>, noted Roman Khimiak.<\/p>\n The hotel group “Holy Charbel” is expanding through ski tourism. It includes a medical and health complex in Morshyn, the “Marble Palace” hotel, and from 2024 \u2014 the ski complex “Plyai”. \u201cWe are creating an all-season tourist product\u2014with a focus on wellness, active recreation, and modern service.
