On December 14, the three-day Forum of Ukrainians of Eastern Europe concluded in Przemy\u015bl, Poland, bringing together over 120 leaders from 13 countries.<\/p>\n
Solomiya Rybotytska, deputy head of the commission on historical and cultural heritage and tourism of the Lviv Regional Council, participated in the event. \u201cThese were days of honest, practical discussions and new acquaintances among communities across the region. About war and resilience. About youth and the future. About preserving identity while amplifying Ukraine’s voice in the world. Ideas turned into plans, plans into joint actions. I sincerely thank for the invitation, welcomed and thanked each and everyone for such very important work of the Ukrainian diaspora to help Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular to the head of the Association of Ukrainians in Przemy\u015bl Ihor Horkiv and the entire team of the Ukrainian People’s House. There was also a very warm meeting with the head of the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations, the head of the Ukrainian Cultural Society in Hungary, Yaroslava Khartiany, who emphasized that women – Ukrainians around the world are rooting for Ukraine’s victory, volunteering and working towards victory. From myself, I am heartily grateful to Mrs. Yaroslava for preserving and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine abroad, specifically in Hungary\u201d<\/em>, – the deputy noted.<\/p>\n The forum took place under the slogan \u201cUkrainians of Eastern Europe: Unity, Strength, Future\u201d. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleksandr Mishchenko also attended it. He emphasized the importance of organizing comprehensive support to aid Ukraine\u2019s Defense Forces and called on Ukrainian organizations abroad to unite efforts for this purpose.<\/p>\n The deputy minister also addressed bilateral relations between Ukraine and Poland, the importance of military aid provided by Poland to Ukraine, as well as provocative actions by Russia on the international stage aimed at undermining the unity of the international community in helping Ukraine.<\/p>\n During the visit, Oleksandr Mishchenko, along with Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Bodnar and Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Przemy\u015bl Oleksandr Bachyk, honored the memory of fighters for Ukraine’s freedom and independence resting at the Ukrainian Military Cemetery in Pikulice.<\/p>\n President of the Ukrainian World Congress Pavlo Grod awarded honorary certificates to prominent figures of the global Ukrainian community of Eastern Europe and friends of Ukraine.
