In the Lviv region, a suspect is set to stand trial, accused of a robbery attack on a pensioner.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred on October 22, around 19:30, in one of the villages in the Stryi district. As established by law enforcement, a 21-year-old local resident entered the home of his 74-year-old fellow villager, attacked him, beat him, and stole 15 thousand hryvnias, after which he fled.<\/p>\n
Operatives from the criminal police, investigators, forensic specialists, and officers from other services of the Stryi district police department were involved in solving the crime. The pre-trial investigation in the criminal case, opened under part 4 of article 187 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, has been completed. The indictment has been sent to court for consideration.<\/p>\n
The maximum penalty provided by the article\u2019s sanction is imprisonment for up to fifteen years with confiscation of property. The procedural supervision is being carried out by the Stryi district prosecutor’s office.<\/p>\n
