Traffic has already been opened on the roundabout interchange, marking a significant milestone in the implementation of this large-scale infrastructure project.<\/p>\n<p>Engineers from Autostrada have completed all works on the overpass and the railway bridge. The scope included concreting of slopes, rehabilitation of expansion joints, and renovation of gabion retaining walls.<\/p>\n<p>Asphalt paving of the bypass road is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, while the entire set of works is expected to be finished in the first quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n<h3>Relieving Urban Traffic Pressure<\/h3>\n<p>Before the full-scale war began, approximately 14,000 transit vehicles passed through Rivne every day. This heavy flow turned the city into an overloaded transport corridor, causing traffic congestion and discomfort for residents.<\/p>\n<p>The Northern Bypass will redirect transit traffic away from city streets toward:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kyiv;<\/li>\n<li>Lutsk;<\/li>\n<li>Polish border crossings \u201cUstyluh\u2013Zosin\u201d and \u201cYahodyn\u2013Dorohusk\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Project Timeline<\/h3>\n<p>Construction started in 2019 but was suspended due to the war. The project risked becoming a long-term unfinished build. In late August 2025, Autostrada won the tender and immediately resumed work on the site.<\/p>\n<h3>Current Construction Scope<\/h3>\n<p>Work is currently progressing simultaneously in two directions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Construction of a new 6-kilometer road to the village of Khotyn<\/strong>, including:\n<ul>\n<li>drainage and water management systems;<\/li>\n<li>installation of lighting infrastructure;<\/li>\n<li>construction of multilayer road pavement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reconstruction of the 4-kilometer section from Khotyn to Rivneazot plant<\/strong>, involving:\n<ul>\n<li>installation of curbs;<\/li>\n<li>drainage and water runoff systems;<\/li>\n<li>lighting installation;<\/li>\n<li>formation of road surface layers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Workforce and Quality Assurance<\/h3>\n<p>More than 200 workers, over 150 units of machinery, and the contractor\u2019s own production facilities are engaged in the project.
