Prosecutors from the Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office have filed an indictment against the director of a contractor company for overpricing a boiler for a communal facility.<\/p>\n
In 2021, an agreement was signed between the social services center in the settlement of Pidkamin and the company for the sale and purchase. The contractor committed to deliver a solid fuel boiler. The director of the company indicated in the documents that the equipment cost amounted to almost 380,000 UAH, whereas the market price was around 145,000 UAH.<\/p>\n
To conceal the overpricing, false information about installation works, which were not actually performed, was added to the invoice. As a result, the company unjustifiably received more than 230,000 UAH of budget funds.<\/p>\n
The director is accused of misappropriation of property and official forgery. The prosecution has filed a civil lawsuit for the reimbursement of the overpriced amount. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by Police Department No. 1 of the Zolochiv District Police Department.<\/p>\n
