10,689 residents of Lviv Oblast fell ill with SARS during the past week

In the structure of morbidity, the specific weight of children under the age of 17 was 50%.

In the 43rd week of 2023, 10,689 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in the Lviv region. Morbidity growth by +2.4%. Instead, 10,400 cases were registered in the region last week.

This was reported in the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.

The intensive morbidity rate for the week is 1.8% lower than the epidemic threshold of 434.07. In the structure of morbidity, the specific weight of children under the age of 17 was 50%, i.e. 5,344 people. An unfavorable epidemic situation is noted on the territory of Horodotsk OTG.

“3,704 people were vaccinated against influenza in the Lviv region. Also, during this week, 435 people fell ill with the acute respiratory disease COVID-19. No fatalities were registered. 69 patients were receiving inpatient treatment. 1,102,655 people were vaccinated against coronavirus with one dose, 1,038,775 people received the second dose, 202,642 people received the first booster, and 20,672 residents of Lviv Oblast received the second booster,” noted the director general of the Center Nataliya Ivanchenko.
