The 8th humanitarian mission involving American specialists has begun at the Okhmatdyt Children’s Medical Center.
Over the course of a week, 35 complex surgeries are planned for children with facial skeleton deformities. Today, three teams have already completed 11 highly complex interventions, including sclerotherapy of vascular malformations and hemangioma removal. “The main goal of this cooperation is to help children”, said Roman Kizima. “Their experience and desire to change our patients’ lives for the better are invaluable”, added Bohdan Malovanyi.
The mission is organized by the Charity Foundation “Christian Medical Association of Ukraine” in partnership with LEAP Global Missions.
