An American expert in pediatric pulmonology and intensive care advises children at OKHMATDYT Department of Health

Bruce Rubin will be in Lviv for 2 weeks on a volunteer mission.

Bruce Rubin, an expert in pediatric pulmonology and intensive care from the United States, has already started consulting children at the Center for Pediatric Medicine, OKHMATDYT Hospital.

Families from different regions of Ukraine have come to the hospital to consult with the Professor Emeritus, Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University, Chief Medical Officer of Richmond Children’s Hospital, and Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Physiology, and Biophysics.

Students from Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University are also attending the consultations for training and practice.

“When the war in Ukraine started, the whole world became Ukraine. I came to support them, so that Ukrainians could understand that the whole world is ready to help you. My roots are from here. My father is from Lviv. My family left here during World War II. I really wanted to see Lviv. I really hope that my colleagues from different countries will come to Ukraine more often and share their experience,” Bruce Rubin emphasized.

Bruce Rubin will stay in Lviv for 2 weeks on a volunteer mission. The visit was organized jointly with Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University and the Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology of the Danylo Halytsky LNMU.
