Today, the Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Center discharged triplets of sisters who had been in the institution for a week after birth.
As the general director of the perinatal center Maria Malachynska said, this is a unique case, because the pregnancy was carried to 35 weeks. Two girls were born weighing 2450 grams, the third 2480 grams.
“From 32 weeks, future mother Tatyana was in the department of extragenital diseases and obstetric pathology. The caesarean section was performed by the operating team: director Maria Malachynska, head of the maternity ward Lyudmila Mykolaichuk, head of the department of anesthesiology and intensive therapy Dmytro Mityurev, head of the department of post-intensive care and nursing of premature babies Natalya Kunta.
The triplets were examined by related specialists, breastfeeding was established.
