It was donated by the Swedish charitable foundation “Blåljus i samverkan” with the assistance of the “With an angel on my shoulder” charity foundation.
Today, April 22, the “Blood Center” bus was handed over to Lviv Oblast. As the representatives of the Swedish charitable foundation “Blåljus i samverkan” told, this is a mobile laboratory that allows doctors to be closer to people who intend to donate blood, as well as those who need it.
The bus was handed over to Ukraine by the Blood Center in Stockholm. Inside there are medical beds, technical equipment necessary for blood sampling and laboratory tests. At the same time, 4 people can be donors here.
“The promotion of donation is more important than ever. Thanks to this bus, it will be possible to drive closer to people and thus encourage them to donate blood, because it is extremely necessary, especially in modern realities. It is definitely more than a bus, it is a culture of donation and responsibility. We sincerely thank you for your support,” said Orest Chemerys, head of the health care department of the Lviv OVA.
The foundation “Blåljus i samverkan” was created by a firefighter, rescuer and paramedic to help people who work in these areas. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the foundation has decided to direct its resources to help Ukraine.
The representatives of the Foundation apply to various services with the offer to help Ukraine in the necessary way, and also attract donations from all those who are willing.
Since March 2022, more than 20 vehicles, mostly “fast” ones, have been brought to Ukraine and handed over. After returning, we plan to hand over 5-6 more cars.
“We believe that Ukraine is our neighbor and when Putin attacked it, we had no other choice but to do what we are doing,” said the head of the Foundation, Per Johanson.
