In the Transcarpathian region, doctors successfully performed surgery on 9-year-old Veronika from the Vinogradiv district, who was suffering from a complex pelvic fracture with subsequent complications. After a tragic car accident that occurred a year ago, the girl struggled with serious medical conditions, including the formation of a kidney stone due to metabolic disorders.
According to urologist Igor Grymak from the hospital center in Lviv, the girl’s condition required urgent intervention, as the stone in the ureter threatened complete loss of kidney function. The doctors performed two endoscopic surgical interventions, dislodged the stone, placed a catheter, and reduced inflammation.
