In the Center NEZLAMNI saved a man who was losing blood, but no one could understand the reasons. Oleksandr Strilets – from Donetsk region. He is 62. The rocket landed in his yard at the beginning of October. He consulted with his brother on the economy. Half of Oleksandr’s body was shattered by fragments, metal hit his brother’s head.
One operation in Kurakhovo, three more in Dnipro. The bleeding from the wound on the thigh, which was the most disturbing, was stopped. Therefore, Oleksandr and his brother were evacuated to the NEZLAMNI National Rehabilitation Center of the First Medical Association of Lviv.
However, the man suddenly felt sick, the wound on his thigh began to bleed again. The reason for this was a fragment in the femoral artery, which cut the walls of the vessel with every movement. However, it was very traumatic to get the metal. The only solution was to block the blood supply to the affected part of the artery.
Therefore, for embolization, i.e. vessel blockage, doctors used an angiograph, and the intervention was performed under X-ray. The bleeding was stopped. And although the fragment in Alexander’s body remained, it no longer threatens him. Currently, the man is waiting for another operation, which should fully restore the mobility of his leg, and for a meeting with his brother – he is currently in rehabilitation.
Due to Russian aggression, hundreds of people suffer every day, so in order to make their treatment and rehabilitation comfortable and accessible in Ukraine, the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center is being created in Lviv.
