A three-day educational and practical course on obstetric anesthesiology was held in the First Medical Association of Lviv.
Master classes for doctors were conducted by a team of American specialists led by Oleg Turkot, head of the obstetrics and anesthesiology residency at the Johns Hopkins Clinic, a Ukrainian by origin.
“We conducted courses in obstetrics and obstetric anesthesiology in order to improve the approach to treatment. They got acquainted with the most modern protocols of breathing techniques in obstetrics and emergency care.
The principles of quick discharge of new mothers after cesarean section were discussed. We also held a master class on ultrasound diagnostics for venous access under regional anesthesia,” Oleg Turkot summed up the training.
Natalia Matolinets, head of the anesthesia service of the First Medical Association of Lviv, expressed her gratitude to her American colleagues for the new experience.
“It is a great honor for us to cooperate with specialists of a very high level. We are grateful to our colleagues for the rich and intense three days and that we have the opportunity to learn from the best,” she said.
In total, about 100 doctors from various regions of Ukraine took part in the training.
