At the fair of youth entrepreneurship in Lviv, protective pads for the eyes that help military personnel were presented

This is a development of the Novoyavoriv Higher Vocational School, which is made with the help of a 3D printer.

The Youth Entrepreneurship Fair Junior EXPO-2024 was launched today in Stryi Park. More than 30 vocational and technical institutions, professional higher and pre-higher education institutions of Lviv region and Dnipropetrovsk region became participants, which presented their achievements. They joined the “Company” program from the NGO Junior Achievement Ukraine.

At the fair, every visitor to the event can purchase the products of student mini-companies. A wide range of goods and services of various categories were presented here. Those who wish can try aromatic pastries of their own production, healthy dried fruits, enjoy a cup of aromatic tea or lemonade.

Products for home decor will come in handy – decorative pillows with embroidery, interior elements, etc. At the fair, accessories and decorations in a patriotic style made by students of vocational and technical institutions were presented. For the youngest visitors, there is a zone with master classes on decorating paska and sculpting from plates. All funds collected will be used to purchase drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The inventions and products of the students of our educational institutions are pleasantly surprising. This is another proof that vocational and technical education is cool, it not only gives knowledge, but also helps to raise an entrepreneur. I sincerely believe that soon many new brands will enter the Ukrainian market, which started from vocational and technical institutions, because you definitely have potential and cool ideas!” – said the deputy head of Lviv OVA Oleksandr Kulepin.

Visitors have a unique opportunity to test a computer mouse created for people with disabilities, see special eye pads to preserve vision in case of injuries. It is about the development of students of the Novoyavoriv Higher Vocational School – Wound Body. These are special pads for the eye, designed to preserve the retina of a person’s eye until the arrival of the medics.

“The usual bandage that is applied to an injured eye has the ability to peel off and thereby damage the retina of the eye. These pads will help prevent this and provide additional protection. We make pads on a 3D printer, and the technology itself was suggested to us by tactical medicine trainers. During the fair, we aim to familiarize not only with our invention, but also to collect funds for the further production of overlays, because we hand them all over to volunteers who cooperate with the teams,” – shared the students of Novoyavorivsk VPU.

Pupils from Lviv, Przemyśl, Dobrotvor, Novy Rozdol, Drohobych, Stry, Boryna, Kryvyi Rih, etc. also presented their inventions and products.

The fair will last until 6:00 p.m. at the address: Lviv, Stryi Park (14 Ulas Samchuk Street). Free entrance.
