On a weekday that is convenient for them, those who wish can get vaccinated against covid at city stationary vaccination points operating in polyclinics. Doctors emphasize: the vaccine “teaches” the immune system to recognize the virus and fight it, and this minimizes the risk of fatal complications.
You can sign up for vaccination by calling the polyclinic’s phone number, or at your family doctor, or by yourself in the Helsi system.

At the same time, the Health Department of Lviv City Council reminds of the importance of vaccination against the flu virus. After all, influenza is the only respiratory disease against which there is an effective vaccine: it reduces the risk of getting sick and minimizes the likelihood of serious complications.
“Influenza vaccines are designed for the 2023-2024 epidemic season. They are quadrivalent, that is, they protect against two types of influenza A and two types of influenza B. Immunity is formed after two weeks after the vaccine is administered,” says Marta Matyushko, head of the health care department of the Lviv City Council.
