Last week, a slight increase in the number of infectious diseases, including flu and ARVI, was recorded in the Drohobych community, as reported by the head of the health department DMR Volodymyr Chuba during the weekly meeting at the city hall on February 3. According to him, last week the community registered 333 cases of illness, which is 17 cases more than the week before.
The highest number of cases was among age groups 5 to 14 years (95 people) and 30 to 64 years (132 people). Out of the total number of illnesses, four people required hospitalization due to complications from ARVI. Medical institutions in the community last week admitted 600 patients with various diseases, including 22 cases of heart attacks and 17 strokes.
In addition, there were 90 surgical interventions. Volodymyr Chuba also mentioned the impact of military actions and stress situations on the health of citizens, which significantly contribute to the spread of cardiovascular diseases. Special attention was given by the head of the health department to the expert team working on the assessment of the suitability of citizens for military service, determining the status of 640 individuals as fit.
In conclusion, it is noted that last week in the maternity ward of the city hospital, 13 children were born, of whom eight were boys.
