Ukraine has approved a list of medical institutions with expert teams that will work instead of the MSEC.
Medical institutions where expert teams will work are located in Lviv, Drohobych, Sambir, Stryi, Sheptytskyi and Zolochiv.
A total of 286 hospitals have been set up across Ukraine to provide assessment teams for the daily functioning of individuals, the Ministry of Health reported.
“Medical institutions have been selected taking into account maximum accessibility for the population and compliance with modern standards of quality of medical services,” the Ministry of Health said.
Under the new system, 1, 348 expert teams have been organised, with more than 4, 300 doctors working in them. This is three times more than in the previous system.
The teams are divided into the following specialisations:
- surgical
- traumatological;
- cardioneurological;
- psychiatric;
- Oncology and others.
In addition, the list of specialists who will work in the Centre for Assessment of Functional Status of a Person has been determined, which will provide expert support and review decisions in case of appeal by patients.
