The doctors of the perinatal center make an individual immunization schedule for each patient.
April 21-30 marks World Immunization Week, initiated by the World Health Organization (WHO). Its goal is to remind people of the importance of vaccinations to protect against infectious diseases for people of all ages.
“At our Center, newborns have the opportunity to receive the first vaccinations in their lives: against hepatitis B and tuberculosis. After discharge from the maternity ward, all further vaccinations take place in the Department of Medical Rehabilitation of Preterm and Young Children according to the Vaccination Schedule. The department also has all the recommended vaccines available and accessible. Our doctors draw up an individual immunization schedule for each patient,” said Maria Malachynska, director of the Lviv Oblast Perinatal Clinical Center.
The Center emphasizes that not only babies can be immunized. There are more and more cases when their mothers get vaccinated along with their children. For example, a pregnant woman recently received a pertussis vaccination along with her child.
Vaccination is one of the brilliant inventions of mankind. Vaccines are safe and effective, while diseases are dangerous and insidious. Do not neglect the opportunity to protect your health and the health of your children.
