Medical Assistance for Diana: Successful Treatment and Rehabilitation in Lviv

In Lviv, orthopedic, trauma, and rehabilitation specialists provide qualified assistance to 14-year-old Diana, who suffers from multiple congenital pathologies and Prune Belly syndrome. Her family from Yampil in Lviv region has been searching for effective treatment methods for many years, including numerous health checks at private clinics and abroad.

A key characteristic of the disease is the hypoplasia of the abdominal muscles, leading to complications such as scoliosis. Thanks to the advice and consultations of Alexander Korol’kov, the chief specialist in neuroorthopedics of the center, Diana’s mother decided to continue the treatment at this institution. Specifically, wearing a Sheno corset was prescribed to improve Diana’s condition.

Currently, Diana is actively undergoing rehabilitation courses at the center for acute states and children’s restorative treatment in Lviv. An occupational therapist works on developing Diana’s fine motor skills, and a physical therapist helps adjust her posture and strengthen her muscles.

The team consists of various specialists: Oksana Gdyr (rehabilitologist), Myroslava Chorna (psychologist), Yaryna Proskurovska (physical therapist), and others. They continue to monitor Diana’s health condition and plan further rehabilitation courses and surgical interventions.
