Lviv became a rear for Ukrainians fleeing the war. The city received more than 5 million people, including more than 11 thousand wounded. Their treatment and rehabilitation was undertaken by the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center, which operates on the basis of the First Medical Association of Lviv.
The old building of the polyclinic on the street Mazepy, 25, was converted into a modern rehabilitation building, the first phase of which will be opened on Tuesday, April 11.
A hundred specialists will fight here for every new movement of those crippled by the war. These are 7 floors for rehabilitation with apartment models and even a store, so that the patient can prepare for new living conditions as much as possible. Every year, 10,000 Ukrainians will be able to receive help here.
State-of-the-art equipment and the latest techniques will be used here to restore full-fledged lives of military personnel and those civilians who were injured as a result of the enemy’s armed aggression.
Also on this day, the exhibition “Indomitable People” will be opened in the walls of the building, which was created by “Azovstal” photographer, Mariupol defender Dmytro Kozatskyi. Dmytro photographed patients and doctors of the NEZLAMNI center.

The UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center is a unique place where adults and children affected by the war receive comprehensive qualified medical care. This is reconstructive surgery, orthopedics and robotic prosthetics. Victims are not only fitted with prostheses, they are made here. Over the course of a year, 100 Ukrainians have already received prosthetics here for free. In addition, the center deals with physical, psychological and psychosocial rehabilitation of injured military personnel and civilians. The patient does not seek help abroad or in several different institutions – he receives it in one center. The project is implemented by the First Medical Association of Lviv and the Lviv City Council with the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
