In Lviv, the First Twins Born under the State Assisted Reproductive Technology Program Were Discharged

In Lviv, a significant event in the field of reproductive medicine occurred – the first twins born thanks to the state assisted reproductive technologies program were discharged from the Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Center. This was reported by the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytsky.

The happy parents, Ihor and Iryna from Horodok, welcomed their children Matviy and Yustyna to the world. Their birth was made possible with the introduction of the assisted reproductive technologies program, part of the Medical Guarantees Program.

It should be noted that since the launch of the program in March 2024, 250 couples from the Lviv region have participated. Kozytsky expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and Viktor Liashko for their support and the expansion of the program to the national level.

“Our goal is to ensure that childbirth in Ukraine is easy, safe, and accessible, and that every family feels fully supported at every stage of their family life,” Kozytsky emphasized, adding that this discharge is a clear proof that the program is effective.
