Oksana Slyvinska, deputy head of the district department of the Lviv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, reported the detection of 26 cases of viral hepatitis A in Sheptytskyi district. She noted that three patients from the Radekhiv community are receiving inpatient treatment, and two outbreak centres in the village of Volsvyn are under strict surveillance.
Slyvinska also informed about maintaining control over the situation in the region regarding outbreaks of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) type A and B. According to her, the number of ARVI cases in the region is increasing, although the epidemiological threshold has not yet been exceeded. She urged citizens to get vaccinated and to adhere to anti-epidemic measures, advising them to seek medical attention if they feel unwell or exhibit symptoms of ARVI.
